This document is in planning for a Media Arts Technology Program (MATP) at Maui Community College, which will begin upon approval by the University of Hawaii Board of Regents.

Students will learn traditional and digital skills needed to produce digital images, animations and simulations for scientific research and development, entertainment and education.

Students completing the program will receive an Associate of Science Degree. Present planning offers the option of expanding classes into a four-year program. There is an interest to consider collaborative integration with high school curriculum covering same subjects. Articulation will also be saught with other college and university programs, and other credit and non-credit alliances.
