July 31, 2009 My current position is the Academic Department Director for the Media Arts & Animation Department at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh , which offers a Bachelor of Science in Media Arts and Animation. Duties include:
For many years I lived and worked in Sweden. Between 1982 and 1988, I was a full-time Art teacher in the Swedish school system . From 1988 to 1993 I worked primarily as a freelance 2D/3D artist and animator. I also held a full-time position as a digital artist and interface designer at AVM Dialog, AB, Gothenburg, between 1993 and 1995. There, I was part of a team developing cd-i titles for retailers. Main client: The Volvo Car Corporation Duties included pre-viz. design work, as well as the production work itself. Projects included (93-95), interactive kiosk product presentations for the dealerships around the globe and an interactive ergonomics training course for the employees (at all levels) in the corporation. Since 1995, I have been working both as a freelancer and in permanent positions in the United States. At Walt Disney Pictures and Television Information Services (FIS) I did original (digital) art work for the PR CD-ROM for the animated feature " The Hunchback of Notre Dame". I then revamped the FIS Intranet web directory "Studio 411" (interface design active between May 96 - June 97), serving employees at all Disney companies. I also did story boarding for the pilot of "Teen Angel"(ABC) for the Multi Media Lab. I was contracted by 7th Level to do 3D animation and 3D environment modeling during research and development stages of game titles in development. I was then contracted by Creative Capers to do 2D compositing of sprite files for the Disney Interactive video game release "101 Dalmatians Escape From DeVil Manor". From June, 1998 to December 1999, I taught 3D modeling and animation at Mt. San Antonio College for the Applied Technology division, under the supervision of Dean John Heneise. Between July 1998 to March 1999 I also acted as Animation Program Coordinator. Duties included:
During the the fall semester of 1999 I taught general computer classes at Otis College of Art and Design and did curriculum development for Los Angeles Southwest College as a consultant. From
February-July, 2000, I worked at Karrass Seminars with web site development. |
